Hello there! I’m Bethany.

I’m a UX researcher
focused on complex, high-stakes problems—where user needs, operational realities, and business objectives must align. With 3 years of UX experience and a master’s in Interaction Design & Information Architecture, I transform data into actionable insights and intuitive, people-centered solutions.

I’m currently uncovering ways to improve experiences, services, and products for federal contracts at Fearless.

Recent focus (2024–2025): Research for complex, regulated systems—balancing user needs, operational realities, and compliance for the Department of State.

Recent Work (2024–2025)

Selected highlights from ongoing research engagements

  • Federal identity & application modernization: Led foundational research across policy, adjudication, and frontline staff to identify where unclear information collection creates downstream risk, rework, and delays. Findings informed form redesign decisions and future digital service planning.

  • Research in regulated, operational environments: Designed and led qualitative research that balanced discovery with legal, compliance, and operational constraints—ensuring insights could actually be implemented.

  • Cross-functional influence: Partnered closely with designers, product, and policy stakeholders to translate complex findings into decision-ready artifacts.

Note: Much of this work is ongoing or not fully public due to client constraints.
